President Trump is delivering a statement Wednesday about the shooting at a Virginia baseball practice field that injured House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) and others.

At least five people were injured when a gunman opened fire as the GOP’s congressional baseball team practiced early Wednesday.

{mosads}Trump said earlier Wednesday he was “deeply saddened” by the incident, noting that Scalise “was badly injured but will fully recover.”
