President Trump on Tuesday blasted ObamaCare and called for Republicans to fulfill their promise to repeal and replace his predecessor's signature healthcare legislation.

"Big day for HealthCare. After 7 years of talking, we will soon see whether or not Republicans are willing to step up to the plate!" Trump tweeted.

"ObamaCare is torturing the American People.The Democrats have fooled the people long enough. Repeal or Repeal & Replace! I have pen in hand."

Republicans are expected on Tuesday to vote to take up the House-passed healthcare bill.

On Monday, Trump urged Senate Republicans to "do the right thing" and vote this week to repeal and replace ObamaCare.

During a press conference at the White House, Trump said Republicans have so far not done their job in "ending the ObamaCare nightmare."

"They now have a chance, however, to hopefully, hopefully fix what has been so badly broken for such a long time," he said.
