"I am very disappointed in China. Our foolish past leaders have allowed them to make hundreds of billions of dollars a year in trade, yet they do NOTHING for us with North Korea, just talk," Trump wrote in a pair of tweets. "We will no longer allow this to continue. China could easily solve this problem!

Trump's tweets came a day after Pyongyang conducted its latest test of an intercontinental ballistic missile that it says is capable of striking the mainland United States.

The test on Friday came less than a month after North Korea conducted its first successful test of an ICBM, signaling a milestone in its stated goal of striking the U.S. with a nuclear-tipped missile.

Trump has vowed to put pressure on China to do more to curb Pyongyang's rapidly advancing programs, but has appeared to sour on the idea in recent months.
