President Trump on Monday touted the country's economy and insisted there was no White House "chaos."

"Highest Stock Market EVER, best economic numbers in years, unemployment lowest in 17 years, wages raising, border secure, S.C.: No WH chaos!" Trump tweeted Monday.

His comments come just days after Trump ousted his chief of staff, Reince Priebus. Priebus said in a Friday interview he had submitted his resignation the previous day.

On Twitter, Trump thanked Priebus for his "service and dedication to his country."

The president tapped Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly to take over the role.

The shakeup also came after new White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci attacked Priebus and chief strategist Stephen Bannon in an interview with The New Yorker.

On the Sunday morning talk shows, many predicted Kelly, a retired four-star Marine general, would bring "discipline" and "order" to his new post.
