Sports Illustrated reported Tuesday that the president told patrons of his Bedminster golf club that the presidential residence is "a real dump" in an effort to explain his frequent visits.
The magazine reports that the president felt comfortable expressing such views because he tends to be "unguarded among the people who pay for their proximity to him."
