Trump to McConnell: ‘Get back to work’

President Trump called Thursday for Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) to “get back to work” on advancing the GOP agenda.
“Mitch, get back to work and put Repeal & Replace, Tax Reform & Cuts and a great Infrastructure Bill on my desk for signing,” Trump tweeted Thursday.
“You can do it!”

{mosads}Trump has been expressing frustration with McConnell this week, after the Kentucky Republican vented about the president’s “excessive expectations” for his agenda.
On Wednesday, Trump pushed back against that characterization.
“Senator Mitch McConnell said I had ‘excessive expectations,’ but I don’t think so. After 7 years of hearing Repeal & Replace, why not done?” Trump asked in a tweet regarding the Republican goal of ending ObamaCare.
That was followed by a Thursday morning tweet in which he questioned why McConnell has not yet been able to pass a new healthcare plan.
“Can you believe that Mitch McConnell, who has screamed Repeal & Replace for 7 years, couldn’t get it done,” Trump tweeted Thursday. “Must Repeal & Replace ObamaCare!”
Trump’s top spokeswoman on Thursday said there is “some frustration” with the Senate leader.
“You can see the president’s tweets. Obviously there’s some frustration. I don’t have anything more to add,” White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders told reporters in New Jersey, where Trump is vacationing for 17 days at his golf club in Bedminster.
