
President Trump early Wednesday boasted about the state of the economy, saying the U.S. is "in record territory in all things."

Trump in a subsequent tweet pointed to gains in the stock market and consumer confidence.
"I guess somebody likes me (my policies)!" he said.

He earlier retweeted one of his previous tweets quoting a report from the National Association of Manufacturers that touted U.S. consumer confidence.

The president often boasts about stock market gains and signs of economic improvement under his administration.
The tweet comes as the White House works with Senate Republicans to pass tax reform, which would mark the administration and congressional Republicans' first legislative victory since taking control of the White House and Congress in January.
