The Hill confirmed with a spokesperson that the first lady was planning on appearing.

The first lady has not been seen in public since May 19, when she returned to the White House after undergoing a kidney procedure.

Melania Trump's spokesperson also confirmed Sunday that she will not attend the G7 Summit or Singapore meeting with President Trump this month.

Trump's absence from the public eye has prompted reactions, including jokes and conspiracy theories, from many social media users.

Comedian Conan O'Brien joked Saturday that he and Trump were "hiking the Appalachian Trail." 

The first lady responded to the speculation in a tweet last week.

“I see the media is working overtime speculating where I am & what I'm doing,” she tweeted. “Rest assured, I'm here at the @WhiteHouse w my family, feeling great, & working hard on behalf of children & the American people!”
