Trump said he spoke by phone with Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern “regarding the horrific events that have taken place over the past 24 hours” and told her “we stand in solidarity with New Zealand – and that any assistance the U.S.A. can give, we stand by ready to help.”

“We love you New Zealand!” he wrote on Twitter.

Trump is expected to address the terror attack during a 3:30 p.m. event at the White House.
