Trump congratulates Little League champions: 'See you at the White House!'

The East Bank Little League team from suburban New Orleans beat Curacao 8-0 on Sunday to win the championship title.

“Congratulations to Louisiana’s River Ridge team on winning the @LittleLeague World Series!! So proud of this history-making team—our first-ever #LLWS champions. Way to represent [America] and Louisiana!” Scalise wrote. “Next up → How about a trip to the @WhiteHouse@realDonaldTrump?”

The Hill has reached out to the team and the White House for comment about the potential visit.

They are the second American Little League team in a row to secure the title on behalf of the United States and the first from Louisiana to win the crown.
