Gorka, a contributor for Sinclair TV who has been named as the host of a talk show with the Salem Radio Network Platform, tweeted about his participation on the trip, and NBC News reported that he's a part of the media pool traveling with Pompeo.

"With the @FoxNews Away Team, on the tarmac at @Andrews_JBA waiting for @SecPompeo to arrive so we can get wheels up for Italy," Gorka tweeted on Tuesday, referring to Joint Base Andrews, a Maryland military base. "Caffé affogato awaits!"

"Mike and Susan are here. Let’s Roll!" he added in a later tweet, referring to the secretary of State and his wife Susan Pompeo. Subsequent tweets indicated the team had landed in Rome.

Pompeo is scheduled to travel to Italy, the Vatican, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Greece between Tuesday and Sunday according to the State Department

Gorka has had multiple high-profile clashes with the media since leaving the administration, including a dispute with Playboy correspondent Brian Karem earlier this year in the Rose Garden of the White House.
