ADVERTISEMENT
Presidential endorsements are important in many ways. They give White House hopefuls grassroots support and political momentum. Support from lawmakers in the early-voting states is especially crucial.

The Hill will update this list of publicly committed backers throughout the 2016 race for the White House.
