President-elect Donald Trump compared his pre-election crowds at rallies to “wild beasts” but said his fans have mellowed out since his win.
Addressing a packed house in Hershey, Pa., Trump mused about the difference in energy between his campaign rallies and his post-election “thank you” tour.
{mosads}”Theres a difference between before the election and after the election. Before the election, you people are like wild beasts, wild animals. … They are screaming: ‘Jail, jail, prison,’ going crazy,” he said Thursday night, alluding to his crowds’ frequent anti-Hillary Clinton chants of “lock her up.”
“Before the election, they are brutal. They are so crazed. You are like crazy people, and that’s good, I like that. And now you are laid back. … You’ve won, you feel great about it and you don’t have to go totally wild.”
