Donahue Peebles Monday at Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Fla.

Peebles is the founder and chairman of the Peebles Corporation and is also the chairman of the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation.

Like Trump, Peebles made a fortune in real estate before toying with an entry in politics. In 2010, Peebles mulled an eventually abandoned bid in the Washington, D.C. mayoral race.

Trump will also meet with Robert Lighthizer, the former deputy U.S. trade representative during President Ronald Reagan’s administration.

Lighthizer is currently part of Trump's transition with a focus on the United States Trade Representative. The former Reagan administration official defended Trump as early as 2011, arguing that his protectionist approach to China regarding trade is conservative.

Stephen Miller, who will serve as a senior adviser on policy in Trump’s White House, is also on the docket for meetings today.

The president-elect will also sit down with Chris Reyes, the co-chairman of food distribution service Reyes Holdings, and retired Adm. Thad Allen. Allen is a senior vice president for consulting firm Booz Allen Hamilton.

Trump announced early Monday that former U.S. Army infantry officer Vincent Viola is his pick to serve as Secretary of the Army.
