Rep. Jacky Rosen (D-Nev.), who is challenging Sen. Dean Heller for his Senate seat, ripped the Nevada Republican on Friday after he voted in favor of a “skinny” ObamaCare repeal bill that ultimately failed. 

Heller was previously among several GOP senators who voiced reservations about Senate Republican leaders’ measure aimed at repealing and replacing large parts of the Affordable Care Act but still voted to support the “skinny” measure as a way of getting to conference with the House. 

“No politician from our state has ever been more dishonest about their intentions, more misleading about their position or more disingenuous to their constituents,” Rosen said in a statement. “This was the biggest broken political promise in modern Nevada history.”

Rosen is considered the Democratic favorite to win the party’s nomination for the 2018 Senate race.

Heller is seen as the most vulnerable Republican senator in next year’s midterms and is likely to face fierce attacks from Democrats over healthcare.

After coming out against the Senate’s initial healthcare overhaul plan last month, Heller also faced intense scrutiny from President Trump and his allies. 

A pro-Trump group launched a series of ads opposing Heller for his opposition to the healthcare bill, though the ads were quickly pulled.

Heller voted on Tuesday to begin debate on efforts to repeal and replace ObamaCare. Early Friday morning, he voted in favor of a scaled-down repeal bill, though the measure was ultimately rejected after three other Republicans joined all Democrats in opposing it.
