Klobuchar coasts to reelection in Minnesota Senate race

She was widely expected to do so. Klobuchar held a consistently high lead over Newberger throughout the race.

The first female senator elected in Minnesota, Klobuchar has held her seat since 2006.

As the ranking member of the Senate Rules Committee, Klobuchar has pursued issues including the influence of "dark money" contributions and election security.
