Giuliani picks up swing-state Senate endorsements

On the Senate endorsement scoreboard, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani (R) capped off a strong week Friday.

Giuliani picked up the endorsements of Sens. Kit Bond (R-Mo.) and Norm Coleman (R-Minn.) this week.

Giuliani got Coleman’s backing Friday, and the men both noted that they served as mayors — Giuliani in New York City and Coleman in St. Paul, Minn. — at the same time.

Bond and Coleman stated their belief that Giuliani would be a strong warrior in the fight against terrorism as a reason for their decision to support his bid.

Earlier this week, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney (R) scored a big get with the endorsement of Sen. Judd Gregg (R-N.H.).
