Top Dem: Trump ending DACA would be his administration hitting 'rock bottom'

“For an Administration marked by indifference to plight of others, today @POTUS hit rock bottom, ending protection for a bunch of kids,” Schiff tweeted.

Politico reported Sunday night that Trump has made the decision to end DACA, which temporarily blocked the deportation of undocumented immigrants who were brought to the country as minors and sought work permits.

Nearly 800,000 people brought to the country illegally as children have benefitted from the program.


Trump’s decision reportedly includes a six-month delay which would give Congress a window in which it could step in before the protections expire, one White House official told Politico.

The report sparked an uproar from Democrats in Congress. Sen.
