Rep. Steve KingSteven (Steve) Arnold KingHouse votes to censure Gosar and boot him from committees Pelosi on Gosar punishment: 'It's an emergency' GOP brawls over Trump on eve of first Jan. 6 hearing MORE (R-Iowa) on Wednesday retweeted a prominent far-right British activist who has described himself as a "Nazi sympathizer."

“Europe is waking up...Will time?” King wrote in a quote tweet of Mark Collett, the former chairman of the youth division of the British National Party (BNP).

The original tweet was a screenshot of an article from Breitbart with the caption "65% of Italians under the age of 35 now oppose mass immigration."

HuffPost reports that Collett, a well-known far-right activist, has said in the past that he admires Adolf Hitler, and was the subject of a documentary called “Young, Nazi and Proud."

In the documentary, Collett calls AIDS a “friendly disease because blacks, drug users and gays have it,” according to HuffPost.

He also says "Jews have been thrown out of every country" and that it's "not just persecution: there's no smoke without fire."

King did not return a request for comment from HuffPost on Tuesday when asked about the retweet.

King, a staunch conservative, has been supportive of strict immigration reform. Last year, he toasted the deportation of the first "Dreamer" protected under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program.

In May of this year, he announced a bill that would penalize local and state officials who help enforce so-called sanctuary policies.
