MORE (D-Minn.) is reportedly writing a memoir chronicling her journey from refugee to congresswoman.

The book, “This is What America Looks Like,” will be published by HarperCollins imprint Dey Street Books, Politico reported Monday.

Omar, the first Somali-American member of Congress, came to the U.S. as a refugee at the age of 12.

She is also one of the nation’s first two Muslim-American women to serve in Congress, along with Rep. Ahead of her swearing-in, Omar posted a photo on Twitter of her and her father at the same Washington D.C. airport where she says she arrived as a refugee.

Omar, who is also the first lawmaker to wear a hijab after receiving a religious exemption to a head covering ban on the House floor, has called her election a rejection of “religious bigotry.”
