Haley quote-tweeted a message from her policy group, Stand for America, which announced upon its launch last week that term limits would be one of its main focuses, along with border security, American culture and socialism.


Haley served one full term as South Carolina governor before leaving office during her second term to serve as U.N. ambassador for the Trump administration. South Carolina governors are limited to two consecutive terms.

Newly elected members have typically shown support for the idea, but the push rarely gains traction with more senior lawmakers and party leadership.
