GOP lawmaker reaches out to Ocasio-Cortez on limiting Supreme Court's power

“Hey @AOC if you want to join forces to limit the power/reach of SCOTUS and the Courts, sounds great!,” Roy wrote. “Let’s discuss over lobby reform!”

Roy quote-tweeted a post from Ocasio-Cortez in which the freshman lawmaker wrote, “Party aside, the Supreme Court has gotten things horrifyingly wrong in the past,” referencing high-profile high court decisions such as Citizens United.

“That’s why Congress must preserve our power and independence: we are part of the check + balance,” she added.

Roy’s pitch comes after Sen.
