Omar made the announcement on Instagram with a photo of her and her husband smiling and showing their wedding rings.

“Got married! From partners in politics to life partners, so blessed,” the caption reads.


Omar’s office identified her husband as Tim Mynett, a political operative.

The Minnesota Democrat filed for divorce from her husband in October, citing an “irretrievable breakdown” in the marriage. The break was finalized in November.
