Asked by a reporter whether the president's recent actions on Twitter were appropriate, Pelosi appeared to dismiss the idea that reporters should expect Trump to act presidential at any time.
"You're asking me about the appropriateness of the actions of this President of the United States? So completely inappropriate in so many ways that it's almost a given," she said.
"It's almost like a child who comes in with mud on their pants or something," Pelosi continued. "He comes in with doggy doo on his shoes, and everybody who works with him has [it] on their shoes, too, for a very long time to come."

The Speaker's comments come a day after she referred to the president as "morbidly obese" during an interview with CNN's Anderson Cooper in response to a question about Trump's declaration that he was taking hydroxychloroquine, an anti-malaria drug, to prevent contracting coronavirus.
"I would rather he not be taking something that has not been approved by the scientists, especially in his age group and in his, shall we say, weight group, morbidly obese, they say," Pelosi told Cooper on Tuesday. "So, I think that it's not a good idea."
Trump later fired back, calling Pelosi a "sick woman" with "a lot of mental problems." Pelosi responded by saying she "didn’t know that he would be so sensitive."
At Wednesday's press conference, the Speaker implied to reporters that her public feud with the president was not worth news coverage.
"It's so unimportant," she said.
