Megyn Kelly will host the final edition of her final prime-time program, "The Kelly File," on Fox News Friday before leaving the network, Fox announced Tuesday.

Kelly is leaving Fox for NBC News to host an afternoon news and discussion program in addition to a Sunday evening news magazine show. She will also be part of big-news events presented by the network.

Rupert Murdoch, the executive chairman of 21st Century Fox and Fox News, wished Kelly well in a statement.

“We thank Megyn Kelly for her 12 years of contributions to FOX News. We hope she enjoys tremendous success in her career and wish her and her family all the best," he wrote.
Kelly, 46, was reportedly offered $20 million per year to stay at Fox News after her contract expired in July.
The terms of her NBC News deal have not been disclosed.
