President Trump’s former campaign adviser, Roger Stone, claims he “had to kill” an “insane effort” by Fox News host Sean Hannity to become White House chief of staff

“Sean Hannity and his lackey Bill Shine blocked me from Fox because I blocked Sean’s insane effort to become @realDonaldTrump [White House chief of staff],” Stone tweeted Tuesday night.

Shine resigned from Fox News as its co-president on Monday amid criticism of his handling of sexual harassment claims.

{mosads}Hannity quickly responded to Stone Tuesday evening, denying he ever asked for consideration for the job, which was awarded to former Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus.

“Roger, with all due respect, I NEVER EVER ASKED to be considered for any WH job, nor would I ever have accepted, nor is that my skill set,” Hannity tweeted.

Hannity, who is Fox’s only remaining prime-time host from its 2016 roster following the departures of Greta Van Susteren, Megyn Kelly and Bill O’Reilly, has always been a staunch supporter of Trump and has never worked in government or politics in any capacity.

Stone has not appeared on Fox News or Fox Business since April 4, 2016.

The 64-year-old controversial political consultant was banned by CNN in February of 2016.

“He will no longer appear as a guest on CNN,” the network said in a statement at the time.

Stone said last October he was banned from all three cable news networks.

“I’m banned at CNN. I’m banned at MSNBC. I’m banned at Fox because I kick their ass. That’s why they don’t let me on,” Stone alleged.
