CNN’s Bash: Trump will take credit for jobs report “whether he deserves it or not”

CNN political correspondent Dana Bash said Friday that President Trump will try to take credit for a better-than-expected Friday jobs report “whether he deserves it or not.”
The Labor Department reported Friday morning that the U.S. added 211,000 jobs in April while unemployment dropped to 4.4 percent, its lowest level in 10 years.
“That is a ‘wow’ number. The fact that it is, that the unemployment is the lowest, it is the lowest that it has been since before the recession in 2008, in May 2007, that is a really big deal,” Bash said on the morning program “New Day.”
{mosads}“There’s no question that President Trump is going to try and take credit for it, whether he deserves it or not, whether or not it was President Obama that was saying as he was walking out the door, ‘Hey guys it’s getting better, it’s getting better, really trust me.’ It doesn’t matter,” she added.
Trump has not tweeted about the jobs numbers since the report was released at 8:30 a.m.
Employers added 522,000 jobs during the first three months of the year, or an average of 174,000 jobs added per month.
