Hannity targets Ben Sasse: Supporting him 'one of the biggest mistakes of my career'

Fox News host Sean Hannity is taking aim at Sen. “One of the biggest mistakes in my career was supporting @BenSasse,” Hannity, who interviewed Trump Wednesday night, wrote on Twitter early Thursday.

“Just useless.” 

Sasse on Wednesday asked Trump if he is “recanting" his oath of office "to preserve, protect and defend the First Amendment."

“Words spoke by the President of the United States matter,” Sasse wrote.

Trump’s battle with the media escalated Wednesday when he suggested in a tweet that broadcast outlets' licenses be revoked. His tweet followed an NBC News report that he said was false.

Trump repeated the sentiment later Wednesday night.
