Hannity targets Ben Sasse: Supporting him ‘one of the biggest mistakes of my career’
Fox News host Sean Hannity is taking aim at Sen. Ben Sasse after the Nebraska Republican slammed President Trump’s comments about the press, saying it was a mistake to support him.
“One of the biggest mistakes in my career was supporting @BenSasse,” Hannity, who interviewed Trump Wednesday night, wrote on Twitter early Thursday.

Sasse on Wednesday asked Trump if he is “recanting” his oath of office “to preserve, protect and defend the First Amendment.”
“Words spoke by the President of the United States matter,” Sasse wrote.
Are you recanting of the Oath you took on Jan. 20 to preserve, protect, and defend the 1st Amendment? pic.twitter.com/XLB7QXM3bQ

Trump’s battle with the media escalated Wednesday when he suggested in a tweet that broadcast outlets’ licenses be revoked. His tweet followed an NBC News report that he said was false.
Trump repeated the sentiment later Wednesday night.
Network news has become so partisan, distorted and fake that licenses must be challenged and, if appropriate, revoked. Not fair to public!
