Fox News host Sean Hannity called out his former prime-time colleague Megyn Kelly on Wednesday night, asking the onetime "Kelly File" host if she was "proud" of a recent Rachel Maddow MSNBC interview with former Attorney General Eric HolderEric Himpton HolderArkansas legislature splits Little Rock in move that guarantees GOP seats Oregon legislature on the brink as Democrats push gerrymandered maps Christie, Pompeo named co-chairs of GOP redistricting group MORE that didn't include any questions about the Uranium One controversy involving former Secretary of State Hillary ClintonHillary Diane Rodham ClintonTrump criticizes Justice for restoring McCabe's benefits Biden sends 'best wishes' to Clinton following hospitalization The Hill's Morning Report - Presented by Altria - Jan. 6 panel flexes its muscle MORE.
The shot at Maddow comes one month after Hannity was moved to 9 p.m. to take on MSNBC's top-rated host with a sharp contrast of styles and perspectives. Maddow had become the most-watched cable news host over the summer.
“She didn’t ask [Holder] a single question about Uranium One,” Hannity exclaimed during his opening monologue. “And Maddow has probably been one of the biggest proponents of pushing the false narrative lies about Trump-Russia collusion.”
“Lester Holt, Matt Lauer, you guys proud of this?” Hannity later asked.
“Megyn Kelly, are you proud of that reporting?”
Kelly jumped to NBC News in January after 13 years at Fox News.
This is the second time Hannity has evoked Kelly in this manner while criticizing Maddow.
In June, after Democrat Jon Ossoff lost a special election in Georgia to Republican Karen Handel, Maddow wondered aloud on "The Rachel Maddow Show" if heavy rain had affected turnout in poorer districts that favored Ossoff.
"This is off-the-hook out of control,” he began. “And if it wasn’t so serious, it’s actually funny.”
Hannity played the Maddow soundbite before bringing up Kelly, along with former "NBC Nightly News" anchor Tom Brokaw, who periodically appears on NBC News and MSNBC as a commentator.
“So in the 'destroy Trump media' what you just saw somehow passes for ‘news,' ” Hannity said. “So, I have to ask: Hey Tom Brokaw, are you proud of NBC News now?”
“Megyn Kelly ... is she proud of this type of reporting?”
Kelly has taken former Fox News host Bill O'Reilly to task this week after The New York Times reported Saturday that O'Reilly paid $32 million to settle sexual harassment claims by former legal analyst Lis Wiehl.
"They’ve got some great people,” Kelly told NBC's Seth Myers on Wednesday night. “[O'Reilly] is not one of them.”
O'Reilly had appeared on Hannity's radio show twice and Fox News program once in the past month.
