The New York Daily News mocked Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore (R) after his loss in Tuesday’s special election.

“SCREW YOU & HORSE YOU RODE IN ON,” the cover reads, alongside a photo of Moore riding his horse to the polls.

The cover follows Moore’s stunning loss to Democratic opponent Doug Jones in the race to fill the Senate seat vacated by Attorney General Jeff SessionsJefferson (Jeff) Beauregard SessionsHillicon Valley: Trump cyber strategy lets US go on offense | AT&T urges court to let Time Warner merger stand | Conservatives want wife of DOJ official to testify | Facebook, nonprofits team up to fight fake news | DC camera hacker pleads guilty Vote Democrat in midterms to rein in Trump, preserve justice Sessions limits ability of judges to dismiss deportation cases MORE.

Moore refused to concede to Jones late Tuesday night, saying “when the vote is this close, it is not over.”

Moore was accused of sexual misconduct last month by multiple women, including one woman who said Moore initiated a sexual encounter with her when she 14 years old and he was in his 30s.

He denied the allegations, but lost endorsements from several sitting Republican senators and saw the Senate GOP's campaign arm drop its support for him.

But Jones's victory deals a blow to Trump and Senate Republicans, whose advantage in the Senate shrinks to a 51-49 margin.
