The interview was first aired last Monday, but was shown on the network again Friday, shortly before President Trump’s tweet. The president is known to have particular ire for CNN and repeatedly attacks the network and its reporters as “Fake News.”
Last month a report said that the president lashed out at his aides after seeing his wife’s television tuned to CNN on Air Force One.
In response, a spokeswoman for Melania Trump said that the first lady watches “any channel she wants.”
