“Today is my father’s birthday. I forgot to send him a present, I had it on the agenda,” she said. “But if you wish him a happy birthday, that will be the best birthday present I will ever be able to get him.”

After Earhardt and Trump, who was being interviewed over the phone, exchanged details about her father’s name and location, the president gave his best wishes.

“Wayne, I just want to say you’ve done a fantastic job with Ainsley,” Trump said. “I want to congratulate you, that is not easy but she is a terrific human being and just a great person. Happy birthday and great job, great work.”

Earhardt’s co-host Steve Doocy then joked: “Mr. President, my neighbor is having an anniversary next week.”

“We can do this for 10 minutes, don’t worry about it,” Trump responded.

The early morning interview was the second of back-to-back interviews on Fox News for the president. Trump called into “Fox News @ Night” on Wednesday after his Pennsylvania rally, and spoke with host Shannon Bream.

Trump is known to be a fan of “Fox & Friends,” and will frequently tweet about topics covered on the show, as well as praise the hosts for their ratings.

He has been interviewed on the show a number of times, including when he made a surprise live appearance outside the White House earlier this year.
