Navarro, 46, will join the roundtable opinion program on Fridays, filling for moderator Whoopi Goldberg, who doesn't work that day.
She will join Joy Behar, Meghan McCain, Sunny Hostin and Abby Huntsman. McCain and Huntsman are former Fox News co-hosts, while Hostin is a former CNN contributor. Behar once served as a host on CNN's sister station, HLN.
Variety reports that Navarro had been in talks to join "The View" in this capacity in recent months, but say negotiations broke down due to salary demands.
Navarro, who supported Jeb Bush's failed run for president, is one of CNN's staunchest critics of the president. She once declared that Trump has turned the White House into a "s**thole," and also called the president "stupid, tone deaf, insensitive and offensive."
The View has thrived since Trump took office. The show wrapped up its 21st season in August with its best ratings since creator Barbara Walters' departure four years ago, averaging 2.9 million viewers.
