Former NBC and Fox News host Megyn Kelly says she’ll “definitely” be back on TV this year in an on-the-street interview in New York on Thursday night.
"Will we see back on TV this year?" asked a TMZ reporter.
“You’ll definitely see me back on," Kelly said while walking with her husband, author Douglas Brunt.
Kelly and NBC News essentially parted ways in October after she discussed blackface as a costume for Halloween and stated during a panel discussion it was fine when she was growing up if it was done as a character.
An online backlash quickly ensued, prompting Kelly to apologize twice, both in a letter to colleagues and on-air. NBC canceled "Megyn Kelly Today" a short time later. Exit negotiations are still ongoing.
The former "Kelly File" host jumped from Fox News to NBC News in January 2017 for a reported $69 million over three years.
She’s expected to receive $30 million, the full remaining value of her contract, when she finalizes her exit negotiations, and is also expected to be free to go to any other network.
