The longtime Republican strategist and former Trump campaign adviser was indicted Friday on seven counts in connection with Mueller's investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.

According to the special counsel's indictment, Stone obstructed the probe by the House Intelligence Committee and the FBI into Moscow's election interference.

He was also indicted on five counts of false statements and one count of witness tampering.

Stone challenged the charges filed against him after his hearing before a federal judge in Florida.

“I am falsely accused of making false statements,” Stone said, adding that he looks “forward to being vindicated."

Stone appeared on InfoWars, the far-right conspiracy website run by Alex Jones, directly after his court appearance before speaking to media outside.
