Trump goes after 'nut job' Coulter: I am winning on the border

President TrumpDonald TrumpFormer New York state Senate candidate charged in riot Trump called acting attorney general almost daily to push election voter fraud claim: report GOP senator clashes with radio caller who wants identity of cop who shot Babbitt MORE on Saturday called conservative commentator Ann Coulter a "wacky nut job" and said he was winning on the border.

Coulter is an immigration hard-liner and a big supporter of Trump's proposed wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, but she has been critical of the president because the wall has not yet been built.

"Wacky Nut Job @AnnCoulter, who still hasn’t figured out that, despite all odds and an entire Democrat Party of Far Left Radicals against me (not to mention certain Republicans who are sadly unwilling to fight), I am winning on the Border," Trump tweeted. "Major sections of Wall are being built."

"Tens of thousands of illegals are being apprehended (captured) at the Border and NOT allowed into our Country," he added. "I am stopping an invasion as the Wall gets built."

Coulter tweeted early Saturday saying that the people who voted for Trump aren't getting what they want.

She tweeted Friday questioning whether Trump actually wants to stop "the invasion," referring to people entering the country at the southern border.

Trump in February declared a national emergency that allowed him to divert funding allocated to other projects to put toward a border wall after signing a House spending bill that offered him significantly less money than he wanted for the wall.
