Conservative outlet complains about lack of Trump shout-out at rally

A conservative cable news outlet on Friday called out President TrumpDonald John TrumpStephen Miller: Trump to further crackdown on illegal immigration if he wins US records 97,000 new COVID-19 cases, shattering daily record Biden leads Trump by 8 points nationally: poll MORE for not mentioning it during a rally the previous night when he rattled off a list of media supporters.

One America News Network (OANN), an outlet that is vocal in its backing of Trump, panned the lack of reference in a video posted to Twitter.

“President Trump recently gave a speech, thanking his supporters in the media. Not a single mention of One America News -- one of his GREATEST supporters...@OANN calls bullshit...” OANN tweeted.

Trump was speaking at a rally in Grand Rapids, Mich., on Thursday night when he acknowledged a number of conservative media hosts, including several Fox News personalities, who have offered largely favorable coverage of the White House.

OANN CEO Robert Herring explained in a tweet that employees at his outlet would have appreciated a shout-out from the president, compared to president acknowledging “established media elites.”

“Anyone who knows @OANN, knows we've reported REAL news since DAY ONE. Our young people work very hard to do that, so to be mentioned by the President means a lot more to them than to the established media elites,” he tweeted.
