Howard Stern defends McCain from Behar on 'The View': 'Give the woman a chance!'

"Listen, I feel bad for you. I see you getting yelled at all the time,” Stern told McCain, who has experienced tense exchanges with Behar on multiple occasions in the recent past.
“Give the woman a chance, for God’s sake!" Stern then said, turning to Behar. "You’re chasing her out, she’s in tears, it’s crazy!”

"Yeah, be nice, listen to Howard!” McCain joked.
The former Fox News host also praised Stern, who was appearing in "The View" to promote his new book.

"I grew up listening to you,” McCain added. “I’ve loved the show forever and I was never offended.”

“Your father, I got to meet him a couple years ago, and I got to thank him for his service and how much he meant to me and how much he gave to this country," Stern said. "I'm really excited to be here with you and I offer my condolences.”

McCain, in turn, said her June 2018 appearance on "The Howard Stern Show" was "one of the highlights” of her broadcast career.
She also shared that her parents found Stern to be "such a gentleman" upon meeting him.

“For once, I was a gentleman around your father,” Stern replied jokingly.

Stern is promoting his new book, "Howard Stern Comes Again" and has appeared on ABC's "Good Morning America" and NBC's "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon."
