Fox News announced the signing of pollster and pundit Kristen Soltis Anderson as a contributor on Tuesday.

Soltis Anderson, the co-founder of Echelon Insights, comes to Fox as cable news networks build up their on-air talent ahead of the 2020 election.

The Washington Examiner columnist served as an ABC News political analyst and has appeared regularly across several political programs, including on MSNBC, CNN and HBO's "Real Time."

The hiring comes as Fox News marks its 71st consecutive quarter as the most-watched cable news network, according to ratings released by Nielsen Media Research on Tuesday afternoon.

The top five shows on cable news for July, August and September in total viewers, as well as in the key 25-54 demographic, were Fox's "Hannity" with 3.28 million viewers, followed by "Tucker CarlsonTucker CarlsonCBS employee fired for allegedly leaking Robach hot mic clip denies she leaked the tape Megyn Kelly teases interview with woman reportedly fired after leak of hot mic Epstein video Former AG Sessions enters Alabama Senate race MORE Tonight" with 3.08 million viewers.
