Netflix announced it will present 59 new offerings next month, including 43 original programs, as the company braces for competition from Apple TV+ and Disney in the increasingly competitive streaming video service space.

Apple's and Disney's streaming offerings are set to launch on Nov. 1 and Nov. 12, respectively.

“What’s coming to Netflix to counter their launches?” Netflix said in a statement announcing its new lineup on Tuesday. “You’ll be seeing a lot of Christmas titles added to Netflix throughout November as Netflix gears up for the holiday season.”

The move comes as Netflix acknowledged last week in its third-quarter earnings report that several streaming services from large companies pose a threat.

"The upcoming arrival of services like Disney+, Apple TV+, HBO Max, and Peacock is increased competition, but we are all small compared to linear TV," Netflix said on Oct. 16. "While the new competitors have some great titles (especially catalog titles), none have the variety, diversity, and quality of new original programming that we are producing around the world."

Netflix stock is down more than 10 percent over the past three months.

On Monday, Netflix announced plans to raise another $2 billion in debt to fund the production of the new content.
