A tweet by DC Comics celebrating #NationalImmigrantsDay went viral on Monday, generating thousands of likes and retweets on Twitter.

"Immigrants make the Multiverse stronger," reads the tweet with the hashtag, #NationalImmigrantsDay to the company's 3.4 million followers.

The tweet was cheered by many, including several lawmakers on Capitol Hill.

 

 

 

 

 

The first National Immigrants Day was celebrated in 1987.
