A tweet by DC Comics celebrating #NationalImmigrantsDay went viral on Monday, generating thousands of likes and retweets on Twitter.



"Immigrants make the Multiverse stronger," reads the tweet with the hashtag, #NationalImmigrantsDay to the company's 3.4 million followers.

The tweet was cheered by many, including several lawmakers on Capitol Hill.






The first National Immigrants Day was celebrated in 1987.

The tough immigration policy was a central theme in the campaign and has been followed with tough policies throughout his presidency.
