Punk rock band Green Day trended to the top of Twitter Saturday night after lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong dropped multiple F-bombs during a performance at the NHL All-Star Game in St. Louis.

Those watching live on NBC were treated to plenty of silence as nervous censors hit the mute button on the audio multiple times.

The were unable to avoid six expletives that were heard during the primetime broadcast in the U.S.

“Get your f---ing hands up in the air,” Armstrong, 47, urged the sold-out crowd at the Enterprise Center during a performance of the 1994 hit, "Basket Case."

“Let’s go f---ing crazy!” he screamed at another point.

“Anyone know why we’re trending?” the band tweeted later. “We’ve been busy having a blast w the @NHL in St. Louis all night.”

“I heard a lot of F-bombs,” Boston Bruins coach Bruce Cassidy told reporters after the game. “I was like, 'Is this OK?' ”

Green Day, which was founded in Northern California in 1986, was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2015.
