Fox News said Monday it will host a virtual town hall that will focus on the psychological effects that COVID-19 and stay-at-home orders are having.

“America Copes Together” will be moderated by “Outnumbered Overtime” anchor Harris Faulkner and will air on Wednesday at 1 p.m. ET, making it Faulkner’s fourth coronavirus-themed town hall in the past two months.

The town hall will have remote panels “comprised of psychiatrists and everyday Americans to highlight the psychological effects that the COVID-19 crisis has had on families, the healthcare community, front line workers and all those isolated and impacted during the pandemic,” the network said in a statement.

“Topics to be discussed throughout include coping with tragedy, the psychological toll of isolation and stay at home orders, as well as living in close quarters with loved ones,” the release adds.

Medical experts will include psychologist Dr. Jessica Griffin and Fox News contributor Dr. Nicole Saphier. Former U.S. Marine Johnny Joey Jones will discuss post-traumatic stress disorder and the potential psychological impact on medical workers.

New York Gov. Mario Cuomo (D) recently referred to the mental toll the crisis may be having on individuals and families in weighing options for a phased reopening of the state.

“You can’t tell people in a dense urban environment all through the summer months: ‘We don’t have anything for you to do, stay in your apartment with the three kids,’” Cuomo said Sunday.

“You know, that doesn’t work. There’s a sanity equation here also that we have to take into consideration,” he added.

The announcement from Fox News comes as the network also said Monday that it has chosen two recipients of the inaugural Dr. Charles Krauthammer Memorial Scholarship.

The announcement from Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scott, in partnership with National Merit Scholarship Program, said the awards will be given to Ami Carey of Lynbrook, N.Y., and Michael Carey of Merrick, N.Y.

Ami Carey and Michael Carey are the children of Fox News Media Senior Vice President of Technical Operations Steve Carey and Senior Director of IT Operations John Carey, respectively.
