McCain had announced previously that her doctors advised she should be "extra vigilant" amid the coronavirus outbreak, prompting her to work remotely for "The View" for the final months of her pregnancy.

“Normally I just let it go because it comes with the territory of being an outspoken conservative woman on TV — but I've felt intensely protective and private over this time in my life and the privacy of my child,” she wrote on Instagram. 

McCain married Domenech, the co-founder and publisher of The Federalist, in 2017.

A spokesperson for McCain said that “mother and baby Liberty are healthy and doing well.”
