Former Barr spokesperson at DOJ hired to be Fox News Washington editor

Kerri Kupec, a former spokesperson for then-Attorney General William BarrBill BarrCNN legal analyst joins DOJ's national security division Barr threatened to resign over Trump attempts to fire Wray: report DOJ faces big decision on home confinement MORE during his stint at the Justice Department, has been hired to serve as Washington editor for Fox News, the network announced this week. 

In her new role, Kupec will participate in story selection under the oversight of Doug Rohrbeck, who has been promoted to senior vice president of D.C. news. Kupec is the former director of public affairs and counselor to Barr, serving as chief spokesperson at the Department of Justice (DOJ).

Bill Sammon, Fox News’s senior vice president and managing editor in Washington, retired earlier this year, after working at the network since 2008.

"They will continue to advance our robust news operation and commitment to showcasing diverse perspectives across the network.”
