Trump deleted the post and replaced it with a tweet with the correct spelling more than an hour later, but not before lawmakers and journalists piled on.

Rep. Mark Takano (D-Calif.) mocked the mistake, calling for a “select committee” to look into the error.

MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell argued the spelling error was an example of a broader concern with the president-elect.
