Huma Abedin, a top adviser and longtime confidante of Hillary ClintonHillary Diane Rodham ClintonGraham: There's a 'bureaucratic coup' taking place against Trump Fox News poll shows Dems with edge ahead of midterms Poll: Democrats in position to retake the House MORE, is reportedly “working hard” on her marriage with Anthony Weiner after separating from him last year.

Abedin announced her separation from the former New York Democratic congressman last August, one day after a report emerged that Weiner had sent a sexually explicit photo to a woman with his toddler son in the background.

But sources told the New York Post that Abedin is giving Weiner another chance.

“Huma has been working hard on her relationship with Anthony,” a source close to the Abedin family told the New York Post. “He has been spending 80 to 90 percent of his time at the [apartment] they share.

"If there is a disagreement, he goes to his mother’s apartment in Brooklyn.”

Another source told the New York Post that the August separation was “more for optics for the [Clinton] campaign and [under] pressure from Hillary’s camp.”

Weiner resigned from Congress in 2011, after sending a sexually explicit photo of himself to another woman.

Abedin's and Weiner’s families are hoping the couple will reconcile, according to the New York Post report.

The source close to the family told the Post that “the pressures of the campaign and presidential race ... and him drifting off into obscurity” were to blame for the couple’s troubles and for Weiner’s most recent incident.
