Donald Glover at Emmys: Trump made black people ‘No. 1 on the most oppressed list’

Donald Glover on Sunday took a shot at President Trump during the Emmy Awards ceremony Sunday night, saying the president is "making black people No. 1 on the most oppressed list."

"I want to thank Trump for making black people No. 1 on the most oppressed list," Glover said during the ceremony.


"He's the reason I'm probably up here."

Glover, who stars in the show "Atlanta," won awards for outstanding lead actor in a comedy series and outstanding directing for a comedy series.

Several stars used the awards ceremony to take jabs at Trump.

Host Stephen Colbert kicked off the night with a monologue that included several political references.

Former White House press secretary Sean Spicer also made an appearance at the ceremony, where he touted the audience size at the event.
