Trump briefed on deadly Kentucky school shooting

"Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and families there and we offer our sincerest appreciation to the heroic Marshall County deputy who apprehended the shooter," White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders told reporters.

Kentucky State Police said that two 15-year-old students were killed and a dozen more people were wounded in the shooting at Marshall County High School in western Kentucky.
 
The Lexington Herald-Leader reported that the shooting happened Tuesday morning when a 15-year-old boy began shooting inside the Benton, Ky., high school before a deputy caught him.
